We are a small
Code of Ethics
breeder located in the Central part of North Carolina. We have dogs
with
Champion German,
European and Yugoslavian bloodlines. Our commitment is to acquire
and produce Rottweilers
that are
excellent in type, mind, body, temperament, conformation and
willingness to work. We have 16 years of breeding
experience
in Rottweiler Breed and strive only to better the breed by carefully
selecting the most sought after working lines to bring into our kennels.
I give lifetime support for all my puppy buyers.
Jesus loves you, do
you love him? He gave his life for you.
(John 3:16) For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever
believeth in him, should not
perish, but have everlasting life.
Have you given your life to Jesus?
Are you ready for his return? Have you accepted him
as your personal Savior and made
him Lord of your life? I hope you have accepted him
and are ready for his return? Jesus
is coming back soon and If you don't know Christ as your Savior,
I pray you accept him today as Lord
of your life. If you need to know how to be saved you can
call me anytime and I can give you
scripture in the Bible on how to be born again. 704-279-5743
2 Chronicles. 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Here is a picture of what we try to
produce in every litter.
We have the most sought after working bloodlines in our
kennels and the Rottweiler Breed.
Welcome to Gold Hill Rottweiler
Kennels, I am Lisa Kemp. My husband and I live in Gold Hill NC, on a
35 acre spread. All of our animals are part of our family and we are
very dedicated to them. Most of our breeding dogs come from Europe and are picked for their
awesome temperaments, beauty, health history and world class pedigree.
My dogs are workers here at the house and are with me throughout the day
and spend their days running in the yard, laying in the grass or
following me around in the yard and in the woods behind the house. My
dogs are a part of my everyday activities and on the weekends we take
them out swimming or to the parks where they are exposed to a lot of
people and sounds. People are always amazed
at how well behaved & social my dogs are. They love
children, other dogs and animals and are confident in many
situations. Much of this comes from correct training, but a strong,
confident and sound temperament is also part of a history of
excellent breeding and selection. We don't just look at a dogs looks
or pedigree when deciding on breeding, the dog MUST have a
sound temperament.. Finding appropriate and loving homes for our puppies
is very important. Our dogs are raised to be loving and loyal family
companions. Our puppies have extraordinary looks with large bone
and a big head with lots of expression and intelligence. They are what a
true Rottweiler is meant to be... Each of my dogs is given individual attention, care, exercise and
training. Early stimulation and continued socialization are very
important to the mental development of puppies. My Puppies are
handled the day they are born, and we socialize them with new smells
and noises throughout their time here. During this time they are
closely monitored to make sure that each puppy is getting the
attention that they need to develop properly and also that they all
have equal opportunity to mother's milk. We also tend to
bottle feed them for extra socializing and handling. They get tons of
attention from our nieces and nephews and grandchildren when they
come to visit. At the age of 4 to 5 weeks old, the puppies
are taken on short outings where they learn to follow and come when
called. Rottweilers naturally have a
strong temperament and early training definitely makes a difference
in their life. It is very important that obedience training is
continued when the puppies go to their new homes. There are no "bad
dogs," only those that are inappropriately placed and raised. I try
to get to know each puppy individually and so that I can recommend
them to a home that will be a good match with their individual
personalities. Please feel free to contact me with any questions
that you may have.
For me, breeding Rottweilers is my
passion, but it was not to be entered into lightly. I searched for the
right female when I was able to buy my first Rottweiler. I found a
female and named her Shadow, and she was my shadow. She went with me
everywhere and was an exceptional girl and she was my protector and best
friend. She was friendly, but didn't make friends
right away, she was the wait and see type, she would always look at
me for an assurance that everything was okay....a true Rottweiler.
But if it wasn't she was very confident to do something about it.
When she was older she got more and more protective of me and love to be
at my side every second. Shadow had dogs like Gameguards, Allgauer, Ironwoods, in her lines.
She was truly my best friend and she taught me what loyalty and love
truly was. She was a friend to the end. She chose not to die in my
arms like I wanted her to, I wanted her to know that I was there for her
also. but she wouldn't do it. She lived out an ripe old age of 12 years
old with no health problems what so ever. She was a very healthy girl. I
still miss her dearly and will never forget her. She will be in my heart
forever. With Shadow I searched for the
right male with a great bloodline to breed her to. I came across a
police officer who had a working dog on the police force named Herr Beau
Von Kleinburg and that is how I got my Weaver's Bad Boy, and he was an
extraordinary dog.
Breeding any animal is a
huge responsibility and it is NOT a money making endeavor. In order
to take good care of the animals and breed Rottweilers of quality,
it is extremely expensive not only to import breeding stock from
overseas, but to properly care for the puppies and adults. If there
is profit I invest it back into my program for the comfort and
health of my dogs. A breeder can keep mass sub-standard dogs in
kennels and breed them... selling the puppies hoping for profit and
not putting any of the money back into the care and comfort of their
dogs. But this is a huge dis-service to the breed. I breed for
future show dogs for our kennels and also to share the joy that a
QUALITY Rottweiler can bring into a persons life. Any person pairing
2 Rottweilers can call themselves a breeder, it is important to know
the motive and history behind their program. Here at Gold Hill
Kennels, raising superior puppies that will bring joy into the lives
of their new families is my number one goal. Pups are whelped here
at my home and because I work here at the house, they are able to
receive lots of attention and stimulation throughout the day. I also
do early neurological stimulation with my puppies on days 3-16 days
old. My females
also get the best of care, nutrition, supplements and exercise.
Prenatal care is very important in raising healthy pups and I make
sure that my females are at peak condition during their pregnancy.
It has also been shown that the emotional state of the pregnant
bitch can have a positive or negative effect on the temperament of
the puppies. Keeping a female happy, comfortable and secure during
her pregnancy is very important.
With any working breed it is
important to temperament test and pay close attention to each
individual puppy as they are growing. A puppy with extreme working
drives is rarely suitable for the typical family home. This type of
a dog will require A LOT of stimulation, exercise and training. If
they do not receive this type of care they will often develop habits
such as chewing, digging or generally being a nuisance. This is not
a "bad dog", it is a dog that has been bred for a purpose and when
not given a job, they will find their own. A pup with extreme drives
will do best in a working or show home where they will be fulfilled
and can really shine. A puppy with lower drives and a calm and
relaxed personality will be an excellent pet for children and
typical family living.
If you are
looking for a 300.00 Rottweiler, unfortunately we are not the breeder
for you. We do not have 300.00 dogs and cannot sell our puppies
for
that. We have a lot more money, time and investments in our dogs. Our
dogs are our family and only want the best homes for their offspring. If
you are looking for a great bred Rottweiler with great sound temperaments and
working abilities, then we are the breeder for you.
All Puppies
are sold under contract and is strictly enforced. Please
read over my contract before you even contact me about a puppy.
Please know I will not place a puppy with you unless you are
willing to have the time to raise a puppy and have it for its
lifetime. You must make sure that this is the Breed you
want in your life (make sure you read About the Rottweiler),
this dog will be a great and loyal companion, but it requires
effort on your part to raise it correctly with a great deal of
socialization. Answer the questionnaire truthfully and send to
me via email. You must fill it out and copy/paste the questionnaire to an
email and send it. If you get a puppy from my kennels, you may
take it to a Veterinarian to assure that the puppy is in good
health, after that YOU
are responsible for that puppy (except the warranties of the
contract) and there will be no refund!
